While I enjoyed the concept of this book, it needed more character development in the romance department. I didn't feel that they had enough development within the story for their feelings to develop into love. I am hoping there will be more books to make it a series and the development of the books will be more complete.Product details

This is the first book I have read by these authors but the concept of this story appealed to me so I decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did the writing was good and the world building was excellent. The characters were well drawn and both our leads were very strong personalities. I liked that they were in effect enemies who ended up working together.
Josie was human and working on Mars when she came across sleeping dragon shifters who had no idea that their race was extinct and that they are the last of their kind, Mars having been the former home of their race. Verikan was one of the dragons and he and Josie were really good together. I don't ever give spoilers so I can't say anymore but if you like science fiction and shifters then you will probably like this book

I give this book 3.5 stars. It was primarily an okay read. It had a few of my personal pet-peeves in a romance story.
This was good, but too short.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's not so dark you feel doomed when you read it and it has a happy ending.

Great mix of steam, suspense, and adventure. Good believable story too! No distracting spelling or tense errors that are so common these days. Nice enjoyable read for a lazy afternoon. Worth your time and money.
